* Your
articles must contain good information to stand any chance of being
accepted by article directories and being published on other
people’s web sites. But that doesn’t mean they have to be literary
masterpieces, or be long and exhaustive. Your article does not have
to exceed three hundred words to qualify for acceptance; you can
include just two or three main points about your chosen subject,
your article does not have to represent a comprehensive guide to its
subject.
* You need to write several articles at each writing session. The
more articles you write, the more traffic you will achieve in the
shortest possible time. So aim to write ten or more articles at each
sitting, extending to 3,000 words or so in total, and aim to write
at least four or five articles every hour.
* Create the first draft of your articles as fast as possible,
without stopping to think what to write. Key in words just as if you
were talking to a friend, which is in fact how the world’s greatest
writers create their masterpieces. Write those ten articles straight
off, do not go back to check earlier writing, just finish as soon as
possible. Take breaks by all means, but do not check back on what
you have already written. There’ll be time to edit your article
later.
* Your articles must be error free or they will be rejected by
article directories and other publishers. Be word perfect by taking
a break between creating and editing your articles, a day will do,
then return to edit your articles. This gap between writing and
editing clears the mind and gives you a fresh view of your own work,
almost as if you are reading someone else’s writing. The gap helps
you spot ambiguities and mistakes in your own writing which is
difficult to do immediately after they’re created. Try this simple
task to prove the point. Do ten articles and edit them right away.
Two days later read them again and I guarantee you will spot glaring
mistakes you did not see earlier. Count the number of mistakes found
at this final editing stage. Now try writing ten more articles,
leave a day before editing them, then read them again two days
later, count the mistakes found the second time round. Compare the
number of mistakes at each final editing stage and I’m willing to
bet you found far fewer where at least a day exists between writing
and editing.
