Start Your Own Temporary Staff Agency on the Internet  by Avril Harper

How about starting a business that focuses on helping freelancer workers get temporary work covering a wide range of periods and tasks?

The idea here is to start an online temporary staff or freelance employment agency, where you’ll be linking prospective freelancers with individuals and firms wanting to hire them.

In brief, you can put advertisements on your site for employers with jobs to fill, and you could also feature promotions from freelancers wanting to find work.  Then you could simply leave everyone to study your site and find their ideal partner without you having to intervene.

One of the easiest ways to make this idea work, and corner a nice part of the temporary employment market for yourself, is to specialise in online placements for people with specific skills.  Examples are freelance workers wanting to write content for web sites or place postings on blogs, or to design and maintain web sites, alongside hundreds of very different task and jobs prevailing in today’s high tech world.

The reason so many people are looking to work online is due to the rising cost of travelling between home and work each day, as well as the shortage of mainstream jobs in offices and shops, and such, and the frequent need to commute several hours each day. This is why there are many people today looking for jobs they can do from home, especially using their computers. The hard part of achieving their objective is finding authentic jobs that provide a decent wage.  That’s because there are so many scams out there which people are afraid of, and for that reason they’re reluctant to chase possible employment for themselves.

And that is where you come into the picture, and you offer to locate and screen companies that are genuinely looking for individuals to work for them from home.  Your job is also to iron out scam companies charging high rates for lists of ‘employing’ companies that turn out to be non-existent. Once you are able to find genuine employment opportunities, then you can help freelancers get in touch with these companies, but for a fee of course.

Remember you will be helping many different kinds of people, with wide ranging skills and personal needs.  Some will be looking for full-time work, others may want temporary jobs during short term unemployment or to supplement their other employment or business income.

Initially it might take a great deal of work on your part to find good quality workers and fast paying serious businesses that are looking for temporary workers for specific tasks. So you may seem to be making slow progress at first while you are building these contacts.  But with time your business will grow steadily, as businesses become familiar with your high quality team of workers and they will find you and your business fits their requirements.

But when your business is up and running, hiring companies will soon be pursuing you to find them temporary workers.  So work hard at growing a database of potential regular employers and freelance operators and you’ll soon have your own very profitable business.
