‘Almost certain’ means there are exceptions, very profitable exceptions, because any gap that exists at ClickBank but which finds ready buyers elsewhere online, is a perfect product for you to write about or have a product created for you to subsequently promote through ClickBank. Just one gap in the market which you fill could keep you in luxury for life!

The big question is: how do you find those gaps in the ClickBank marketplace? Well contrary to what most people think, the best way isn’t necessarily to search ClickBank. The best way is to target places like Amazon, and eBay, and by locating high frequency keyword searches that lend themselves to specific digital product ideas. Once you find them you plug your gaps with unique new titles or packages created from the public domain, or resell rights and private label rights articles and eBooks.

Searching for gaps, also plugging gaps, does not have to be a long or costly exercise. You simply go to those other locations, Amazon for example, make a list of best selling subjects, then go search for similar titles at ClickBank. Make a note of any gaps and then seek ways to create and market your own unique title at ClickBank. If you choose books from the public domain be sure to make at least a few changes to your product, this renders it a ‘derivative’ product and gives it copyright protection. Those changes must be substantial, as where you add extra paragraphs, for example, or you update archaic wording, or you add illustrations where previously none existed.

One problem you might encounter is the question asked of all new publishers to ClickBank, namely ‘is the work your own creation or are you licensed to sell it?’ ClickBank will only questions to prove your rights to sell a product that isn’t entirely your own creation or was not created specifically for you. Answer those questions politely, and professionally, and you’ll rarely if ever be prohibited from selling your product at ClickBank. The only exceptions are specific subjects like data entry and list building which ClickBank increasingly refuse entry, alongside other items that are pornographic or otherwise unsuitable for mass market selling.

So there you have it, a couple of hours spent on Amazon or eBay, then another hour or so on ClickBank, and you’re bang on course for having your own best selling and better still exclusive digital product on ClickBank.
